If you search influence on the wiki it displays the tiers and their influence level required for each rank

Like rank 1 I believe is 400 which equates to $40

The tiers are tied to the amount of Influence you have. Most of it comes from purchasing a pledge package or buying other items in the store but you can also earn Ifluence (and store credit) by recruiting people, being active on the forums or creating impressive fanart and so on.

Isn't there a plan to let backers "spend" influence some how?

You won't be able to spend influence. It mainly determines stuff like your rank and avatar border but it was also used in the map voting process and during Domain and Settlement Selection last summer to queue picks. It's possible it will be used for something else too in the future but you won't be able to really spend it for anything, EP (Exposition Points) is the thing we will actually be able to exchange for stuff.

I guess the mix up comes from the fact that when you earn influence you also get some store credit to spend too.

Nah it probably goes back to the KS. When you got influence points. Was hell confusing to many people really. Good change on SBS part there.

Ohh, so that's what those mean.

• So tier 6 is like $225 spent.
• 7 is $250 spent.
• 8 is $500 spent (big leap).
• 9 is $750 spent (another big leap).
• Tier 10 is $1,000 spent.
• Tier 11 is (holy god) $5,000 spent.
• Then Tier 12 is $10,000 spent.

That seems odd though... With Bloodline at $200, then $65 for Alpha 2. And idk how much on extra heraldry stuff... and like $100 on EP... I should be at 7 instead of 6.

Oh well, not like it matters at all.

If you're not sure about your rank, all you have to do is check your account and it'll show your influence. If it's not lining up, you can always contact support.
