drsquash and Zenmara, there is not possible to play the game now, no matter what package you buy. The game is in Pre-Alpha stage and soon we will have Domain and Settlement Selection, in which the players that are mayors/counts/dukes/kings will pick their starting domain.
And my opinion, the game will launch, just no soon, because is very complex at takes very much time to create it. You should join the Discord group; there are a LOT of updates and MANY friendly and helpful players. :)
