The barkeep bits were great too, although I have to wonder how he decides who to react to if more than one person comes in at a time. Maybe whoever he feels the strongest about?
Interesting thought. I guess it's possible that the animation will be client-side so maybe only you see it and other players see a different animation depending on their reputation.
Though I have to admit the idea that you'd have to wait if a royal enters the tavern because the innkeeper ignores everyone else would be funny :)
I really hope they don't make it per player, this kind of "instancing" is killing immersion in todays MMOS imo.
When I see something funny or awesome in the game world, I don't want it catered to me - I want to be able to point at it and have a laugh with the others around me. Nothing breaks immersion like someone saying "I can't see him, im probably on another stage in the quest...".
I'm pretty confident that CoE will be on my side in this matter though :) Having the NPC react to the strongest emotion sounds like a much better way of solving it btw.
