to'resk. going to be a masked merchant traveling across the continent, buying at the source for cheap and selling it where i can make a fine profit. starting off will be rocky but as i set into my routes and make connections things will become easier. personally see groups of highwaymen looking to steal my stash of janoa gold and hrothi metals as the highlight of my gameplay experience

I like that the whole tribe kind of has a mission together. Something to work towards. That the Waerd also benefit from teamwork makes them very appealing someone who likes to tackle challenges with a team.
I'm going to go waerd but trying to recruit people to go waerd is like pulling teeth. I think they will be the best tride for smaller groups, steady development, and defending your town.
No matter where Ashland ends up ima create a Janoan Barony ;)

I think, I will probably play as a Hrothi, a Brudvir or a Waerd. I definitively admire the professions of the Hrothi, their biome and their love of knowledge. I also find their biome really interesting. I also really like the family/community focus in both the Brudvir and Waerd, and I additionally like their aesthetic and biomes (even though they are really different).

@Karolus, your Janoa mercenary will have some problems to survive out of the wet biomes because of the wet lung he has...
Neran because its a more balanced race ,but maybe later on I might change depending on how the game develops. I just think a more balanced character will lead to a better gameplay exp.
