Small pool of candidates there.
Alpha 1 isn't available separately in the store so anyone who has it will have to have bought in at a pretty high level during the kickstarter or in the store. I have a Baron pack and I only have Alpha 2.
You're rank 7 so it might make more sense to say anyone with a Baron title or above.

For example, I am a Merchant, but I have the rank of a Courtier.

That makes more sense.
I plan to start as Brudvir and have alpha 1 access but I'm not going to commit to any character relationships until after D&SS. Got to see what my character has to offer before I marry him off to anyone. :) Might end up going NPC marriage as the Dance of Dynasties sounds too complicated and time intensive for an exploratory spirit like mine. All I want to do is maintain my mayor's title and establish my village as an economical backbone of whatever county I end up in and eventually when the time is right sail across the ocean to explore a new continent.

Having kids maybe, progression no.
Everything in alpha and beta testing doesnt persist into launch. So if you were able to have kids in alpha 1, when it gets wiped it wont matter anyways as those kids and your character will essentially have never existed
