Business Model

The Company offers pick-up on demand, with delivery to anywhere. Depending on size of goods or objects to be transported, mounted couriers or wagons are used. Cost of shipment depends on distance, danger, and amount of wagons or couriers necessary. The Company hires guards to protect the shipment, and offers optional insurance policies in case of disaster. We also will buy goods directly from the seller if no buyer is immediately available. We have warehouses to store the goods we buy until they are sold, and some of that warehouse space is available for rent on a case-by-case basis.

Depending on demand, we will also journey from settlement to settlement selling goods we have bought from our sellers that we cannot sell in bulk.

Passengers can charter a comfortable carriage to almost any destination, fare is based on amount of passengers, danger, and distance traveled. Food and water for the journey is included in the fare price, however, passengers can choose not to be on the meal plan.

A benefit of being based in Mældunesburh is the well patrolled trade routes and fortified waystations that the caravan can rest in at night. These waystations usually have an army detachment based out of them, so customer passengers and shipments truly are well protected. For areas without these waystations, our excellent guards have a proven track record dispatching brigands and highwaymen.

Preferred Partners

Producers and merchants who depend on our service can sign a contract for recurring shipments. This helps our customers save money, as we offer a discount over our one-time rates. Merchants and producers who become preferred partners have their name placed on our Partner’s List, which is accessible to all our partners, as a way to find other businesses to establish mutually profitable relationships with.

The Transport Company is always looking for intrepid individuals who would like to manage their own depots. Working with us provides such entrepreneurs with several advantages. If the open road suits you better, we are always in need of wagoners, wainwrights, and guards for our caravans.

Though our headquarters are located in Mældunesburh, we are more than willing to establish depots in other cities and towns. All of our workers receive excellent wages,and our guards and wagoners receive danger pay, training, and weaponry.
