The county of Ashus will be focusing on furthering technology with relation to alchemy (poisons, weaponry, poultices, etc) and carpentry (architecture and transport). For location, I desire a county seat on the coast, this desire is my only deciding factor when it comes to tribe and biome. The focus of the county seat will be research, while the wider county’s focus will be more general and open to player influence.

Each Council will be handpicked by the respective Mayor/Count, from the layer below. These councils will serve in an advisory capacity, with limited powers from the person above them.
Short Term Goals
Create a safe county by patrolling the settlements and surrounding areas, constructing and maintaining settlement defences and setting up basic locations between settlements for travellers to rest.
Form a well structured County Militia. This will be decided ultimately by the tribe that we get, however after that any players wanting and willing to handle countly military can get in touch with me.
Catalogue, gather and supply finite and renewable resources within the county. Using the contract system to employ cartographers and explorers to locate and utilise the resources placed throughout the county. This would primarily involve providing these resources to the craftsmen, merchants and those who need them in order to instigate growth in the wider economy and stable research.
Form the core leadership of the County. This we aim to do by incorporating settlement councils, militias and, if necessary, a representative of the county’s player organisations into a County Council to deal with matters concerning the County as a whole.
Provide a platform for public communication. Initially we aim to achieve this by erecting noticeboards in each settlement with players (for recruitment notices, job offers, bounties, etc) as well as having a county discord channel. Following the formation of the County Council we will layout the process by which a player can potentially have their voice heard by the county leadership to balance workload.
Establish friendly relations with neighboring counties, duchies and (depending on the distance to the kingdom border and political climate) another kingdom’s border counties. As a short term goal it would benefit trade, knowledge and our county’s reputation to lay the foundations with our neighbours early on.
Long Term Goals
Have well structured and supplied militia units with designated muster points when called to arms on a county/alliance/duchy/kingdom level. As well as a designated Garrison commander for each settlement with a small force for defence of the settlement and county to deter crimes of opportunity.
Have well established supply routes, stable commerce and trade within and outside the county.
Have well established relations with the wider kingdom and, depending on the distance to the kingdom border and political climate, neighboring kingdom counties.
Have stable gathering of finite and renewable resources.
Have a consistent renewal process of renewable resources such as wood, crops and livestock as well as a stable supply and demand for finite and renewable resources within the County.
Provide a wide range of products and services at the settlement and county level.
If the county seat reaches the city settlement size we aim to implement local laws decided upon by the County Council.
