INTRODUCTION:
...Dawn breaks over a misty morning. Crows can be heard off in the distance. Baroness Unaa Morgenstern escorts the Queen’s liaison through her stables...
“As you can see we have the finest war chargers in the realm.” They stop in front of a particularly impressive trison. She grins in satisfaction at the look of awe on his face. “This particular beasts name is Efrum. He is the pride of the stables. He has impregnated nine dams this season. We expect the offspring to be just as robust. But we are, for the moment, not here to talk beasts, come, follow me.”
She leads him out of the stable and through the grounds. Men can be heard laboring in the fields. A large spotted cat the size of a hound bounds past them startling the man. “Don't mind him he won't harm you unless told to, you are safe.” Unaa said with a soft chuckle.
“Here is what I wanted the Queen to know of. My finest carpenters and blacksmiths have been tolling day and night to prepare this.” She took him around a large stone building. Behind which stood twelve gigantic ballistas, forty feet long and twenty feet high. Capable of shooting bolts as large as an oak tree. The man inspected one with fascination. “These are a wonder it is true, but, how would we load them?” Unaa gave him a sly look.
“Two Trison or four Ursaphants can do the job easily. They are capable of destruction that is unsurmountable. We have one already loaded, would you care to test the wares?” They approach a loaded ballista pointed at an old unused tower. A page calls out to clear the area. The liaison pulls the lever shooting the bolt into the air with a loud whistle. When the dust settles the tower is no more. “Now these twelve are my gift to the Duke. The war beasts are another matter, however.”
As she turns her guest back towards her villa she gives a quick smile to her master craftsmen. “Now let's talk coin”...
BACKGROUND:
Unaa Morgenstern was not meant to lead. When she was born, her mother promised her she would be the wife of a count or duke. That she would have many babies and never worry about the affairs of men. That promise was broken the day her father and older brother Robert went out one morning in search of a reported white stag. Stories are unclear on what happened that gray day. But they were brought back broken and bloody.
Her father’s last words to her were “You too are a Morgenstern, remember this.” As her father and brother burned on the pyre, she held strong for her people. When her mother went insane with grief and had to be admitted to a sanatorium. She held strong for her people. And when the day came that she found the man responsible for her family’s demise. She stood before him eyes narrowed and through clenched teeth she said.
“I am a Morgenstern! We will not be made extinct by the likes of you. Noli irritare leonem” As she slit his throat she thought “This is how I will be strong for my people.”
STRUCTURE/TITLES/DUTIES
This is a town of commerce first and foremost. We strive to bring the highest quality products and beasts of war to this kingdom. But it is also a town of equal say. To that part the Hallowed ring was created. Comprised of all the greatest artisans of the town. This council will be the cornerstone of Darkheart Hallow.

- Maintaining our regiment of hunters and apprentice hunters.

- Overseeing the husbandry of our herds
- Maintaining our regiment of stable hands
- Breeding and acquisition of new stock.
Master of the forge: (Position Open)
- Overseeing the crafting of mount armor and tack.
- Maintaining our regiment of blacksmiths and miners.
- Acquisition of ore and precious metals.
Master of timber: (Position Open)
- Overseeing timber collection.
- Overseeing the production of carpentry projects.
- Maintaining our regiment of carpenters.
Master of cloth: (Position Open)
- Overseeing cloth production.
- Overseeing the production of textile goods.
- Maintaining our regiment of tailors.
