An unofficial introduction to the Kingdom of Alésia

It is the Age of the Twice-Born. It is a chaotic time for the Kingdom of Alésia. For more than a decade Phyllain has sat on the Royal Throne of Xelias. He is the rightful Master of Mannkind by the will of the gods, and master of a million peasants by the might of his inexhaustible armies. He is with great power granted from the Age of the Gods. He is the Lord of the Xelias, a county that imports men and exports heroes.

Yet even in his grand state, Phyllain continues his eternal vigilance. Mighty legions cross the dark wilds, harsh desserts, and treacherous mountains of Luna, their way lit by cautious planning and hardened resolve. Vast armies give battle in his name on uncounted battlefields. Greatest amongst his soldiers are the The Blessed Few, knights trained from birth to turn the tide and bring home victory . Their comrades in arms are legion: the Imperial Core and countless militia forces, stawart warriors who are trained to never break and never surrender. The ever vigilant Keep Officers lead by example to inspire men to ever greater acts of heroism and valor. The Shades keep watch from the shadows keeping the enemy blind until the dagger reaches their throat. But for all their multitudes, they are barely enough to hold off the ever-present threat from foreign powers, treasonous lords, heretical cults, mutant monsters - and more supernatural horrors.

To be a man in such times is to be one amongst untold thousands of heroes. It is to live in the time when all hope seems lost and yet the light shines ever brighter. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of the gods and devils, for so much has been lost, never to be recovered. Forget the promise of peace, for in the near future there will be nothing but battle. There is no peace amongst the across the land. Heroes and Villains will rise. Kingdoms will fall. Coin will be made. What will you do with your fate?
