I'm not 100% sure, but at least with buying packages then upgrading to a different one you just have the pay the difference. You could try goign to the store (if you haven't yet) and checking what the price for the package you want is, and see if they discounted the amount you already paid. It is a bit different just because you bought a specific item instead of a whole package, so, again, I'm not sure.
